March is a market town under an hour North of Cambridge. It’s a place I hadn’t been to, and I was very happy to have a reason to visit. Once you get into the Fenlands it isn’t exactly unpopulated, but it really feels like an escape from the urban areas of the South East.
This is a flat route, on a varied course. Some paths, some shade, some grass. It works very well.
The narrow section shown immediately above has some slightly more tricky footing, with one section on two levels. It’s not that difficult, but something to pay attention to, particularly if overtaking - people might choose one side of the step at the last minute.
On a sunny day, this was a delight.

Afterwards I headed to the National Computing Museum, where the ageing effect of buying entry to the 50th anniversary celebration of Ceefax also bought entry to the museum. It’s a varied and interesting place, though for me also tinged with the sad version of nostalgia that my so my childhood memories are now a curiosity for some.
